Overview of Silk Cotton House

思桐馆 是一家成年人的私塾。主要目的是进行传习与教授古琴艺术。同时囊括中国传统文化其他种类的教授，如书法、绘画、武术、茶艺等。琴馆的内容除了教学之外还包括——中国传统文学讲堂、思桐雅聚以及思桐乐会。
Silk Cotton House provides private lessons for students of all ages, dedicated to the teaching of gu qin (seven-string zither) as well as other aspects of traditional Chinese culture, including calligraphy, painting, martial arts and tea ceremony. Apart from these lessons, Silk Cotton House frequently hosts cultural events that are open to public, such as “Classical Chinese Seminar”, “Silk Cotton Literati Gathering”, as well as “Silk Cotton Concert”.

中国传统文学讲堂 每周六下午三点至五点在琴馆会有一位老先生教授《诗经》、《楚辞》、《汉乐府》、《古文观止》等传统国学，老先生并不拿戒尺。
Classical Chinese Seminar
Every Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5 PM, Silk Cotton House invites a prestigious professor to hold classical Chinese seminars on <shi jing> (The Book of Rites), <chu ci> (Songs of the South), <han yue fu> (Folk Songs of the Han Dynasty), and <gu wen guan zhi> (Outlook on Classical Chinese Literature). On a lighter note, the professor does not use a stick to reprimand students in the traditional fashion.

思桐雅聚 每月第二个周六下午两点至五点我们有一次聚会。因为是古琴使我们聚会所以我们称这个聚会为雅集。每次雅集会有一个主题和主讲人，题目可能与古琴有关也可能与古琴无关。我们会一起探讨、交流、品茗、弹琴。
Silk Cotton Literati Gathering
We meet on the second Saturday of each month, from 2 to 5 PM. While the theme and guest speaker may vary, possibly having nothing to do with gu qin, together we will explore and exchange views over a cup of tea, and at the same time take pleasure in the musical ambience.

思桐乐会 每一至两个月，思桐馆会作一次音乐会——思桐乐会。主旨是为古琴的创新以及青年一代的琴人和广大的古琴爱好者提供一个展示的平台，为愿意听到古琴音乐的人提供一个听琴的空间。在这个平台上，古琴与各种艺术形式都可能进行交流、融合。
Silk Cotton Concert
Every month or two, Silk Cotton House puts together a concert dedicated to the revisionist movement of gu qin and to provide a platform for its patrons as well as the new generation of gu qin artists. It creates a suitable space in which all possible forms of artistic expression in combination with gu qin can be experienced and enjoyed.

古琴 又称琴或七弦琴。在长达数千年的中国历史文明中，古琴不仅是文人修身养性、抒情写意的工具，还是士大夫精神情操的象征。2003年11月7日，古琴被纳入联合国教科文组织的“世界人类口头和非物质文化遗产”。
Gu Qin
Also known as the seven-string zither, gu qin has not only been an instrument of self-cultivation and an expression of sentiment for the literati in the thousands of years of Chinese civilization, but also a symbol of the scholar-official spirit. On November 7, 2003, gu qin was recognized by UNESCO as an intangible world cultural heritage.

思桐馆馆主 巫娜，2004年毕业于中央音乐学院硕士研究生部，获得古琴演奏硕士学位。师从于著名古琴演奏家赵家珍、李祥霆两位先生。
2003年创办“离骚琴馆”，2005年更名为“思桐馆”至今。
Master of Silk Cotton House
Wu Na graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in 2004 with a M.A. in gu qin performance. She has been under the mentorship of renowned gu qin artists, Professors Zhao Jiazhen and Li Xiangting. In 2003, Wu Na founded the Li Sao House, which was renamed in 2005 to Silk Cotton House.

１．古琴授课的时间：

2．太极班的授课时间：
太极拳不在外求，而在去除自小从学习得来的「用力」习惯，回复我们本有的体重能量而发挥之。「用力」虽「有」而「假」，「不用力」才能得体重能量之「真」，故能「无力打有力」。「无力」不是「没有」，而是地心吸力的作用，体重本具的「自然而有」，这体重「不用力」也常有，所以「无力」并非「无」，「无力」也一样「有」，祗是这「有」非「力」而已。用立体思考，太极拳真的能「无力打有力」，比其它的「用力」功夫优胜。以这意义来说，说太极拳「无力之中有真力」，并无不可！

3．古文课的授课时间：

思桐馆每月固定的活动内容有以下几点：
* 每周四下午有一堂中国传统文学讲座，讲授《诗经》《楚辞》等 。
* 每个月的第二个星期六在馆内有一次思桐雅聚，邀请不同领域的专业人士做主题讲座，同时馆内学员及朋友们在一起弹琴，品茗，交流。
* 一至两个月会举办一次古琴音乐会，邀请各家各派的古琴家以及青年琴家们进行演奏。
以上活动本琴馆学员均可免费参加。
